At Wedding by Susan, I am dedicated to making your special day memorable and aligned with your vision. My mission is to provide heartfelt officiating services that honor your love.

I began officiating weddings in 2008 helping an experienced officiant who wanted to retire. The Circuit Court Judge appointed me to her position and I hit the ground running! I learned by doing, researching, and observing. I am a calming influence on the Wedding Party and I've never had anyone pass out on me! Even in the extreme heat of the beach!

I have semi-retired but my daughter Vicki Turner started officiating weddings about 10 years ago and she does take the weddings in Virginia Beach, Williamsburg, and North Carolina. Sometimes I take a wedding that requires a little travel, but that depends on the couple's ability to find an officiant for their rural wedding.

During Covid in 2020, I created a pretty place in my yard where I could marry couples with limited contact. I still use this spot for elopements and I take photos for the couples too!
